Daily 8 Agustus 2018 at Hotel Gammara

Today was the third day of our practice day in Gammara Hotel. Just like the previous day we entered at 7 o'clock in the morning. We absence first before we entered the kitchen. After that we entered the kitchen. Firstly, we fried bomboloni (Italian Donat) 280pcs. About 8.30 o'clock in the morning I finished fry. After that I helped a few staff to prepare. At 10 o'clock we closed for breakfast and I helped for close up. I finished at 11.00. After that I made potato kroket and lumpia.

Kroket is a food name took from Holland in Indonesia but  derived from French. In Netherland, Kroket is a food consisting with  ragout covering with white eggs and panir flour  then fry. In Indonesia, kroket normally is a mount of mash potatoes filling with seasoning minced meat and mix with vegetables such as carrots or grean bean. Before we deep fry we soak kroket in white eggs and cover it with panir flour. We made 100 pcs of kroket.

Lumpia which is known by Indonesian people is the pronunciation of Hokkien. Lumpia consists of a thin sheet of wheat flour which is used as a wrapper for fillings which are generally bamboo shoots, eggs, fresh vegetables, meat, or seafood. Lumpia that we made today contains carrots, bamboo shoots and shrimp. we made 100pcs of lumpia rolls. After that we took a  break for lunch prayer. After the break we entered the kitchen and prepared for dinner. we finished around 4:00 p.m. After finished preparing, I cleaned my work area and left to go home.
